OK Plant conducts market research for Kolibri Bouquet

OK Plant recently commissioned a market research study on their Kolibri Bouquet, an orchid bouquet with a water reservoir. This research confirms that the concept meets market demand and purchasing willingness among consumers.

In the fall of 2023, OK Plant, in collaboration with Royal FloraHolland, conducted a consumer survey among plant buyers in the Netherlands and France, ranging in age from 25 to 75 years. Nadia Olsthoorn, marketer at OK Plant: "At OK Plant, we value conducting this research, as it has given us insight into the opinion of independent consumers. In addition, we continuously conduct research among our existing customers and their customers. We use all the information to fine-tune our existing products."

Easy care
The Kolibri Bouquet is a mix of orchids and plants in a luxurious bowl equipped with a water reservoir and watering wicks. This system provides plants with the right amount of water and reduces the need for consumers to water frequently. The results of the market research confirm that consumers in both the Netherlands and France respond positively to the Kolibri Bouquet, with convenience and long-lasting enjoyment being cited as key considerations. Moreover, the different Kolibri Bouquet versions align with current interior design trends.
