On Tuesday, January 16, Frans Blom christened his own Kalanchoë blossfeldiana. This Kalanchoë was specifically selected for its qualities, as the 'Frans Blom' variety blooms for a long period and has an impressive shelf life of up to 100 days. This variety is pure white and, according to Blom himself, it's the longest-lasting Kalanchoë ever developed.
Stefan Slijkerman: "The variety symbolizes everything that Frans has done for our company as a PSA consultant over the past decades. After 34 years of providing us with advice, Frans is now set to enjoy a well-deserved retirement. This gives us a perfect opportunity to pay tribute to him in the form of his own Kalanchoë.
