Berkelbloem, an extension of Berkel Greenhouses Inc., reflects the family's deep-rooted passion for horticulture, passed down through three generations. With "Bloem" meaning "flower" in Dutch, the farm's name pays homage to its origins and the tradition of growing under glass, a practice that began in the early 1900s in the town of Berkel, South Holland.
Today, Berkelbloem stands as a bridge between the family's past and its venture into the vibrant world of floriculture, offering more than just greenhouse-grown tropical plants—it invites visitors to engage directly with the land through its tulip fields. The farm is a family-friendly environment, offering a picturesque setting perfect for picnics, photography, and simply enjoying a day out in the fresh air.
