US (CA): Pasadena Tournament of Roses celebrates Red Rose Day

In celebration of Red Rose Day, volunteer Members of the Tournament of Roses Association brightened the day of hundreds of people by surprising them with long-stemmed red roses. " " "This act of spreading cheer embodies the community spirit of the Tournament of Roses."

The red rose, the iconic symbol of the Rose Parade® and Rose Bowl Game®, has long been recognized as a symbol of love, but it also symbolizes gratitude – and it is with gratitude that the "White Suiter" volunteer Members literally took to the streets of Los Angeles and Pasadena.

"We are thrilled to celebrate Red Rose Day by bringing a little joy and beauty to people's lives," said Tournament of Roses President, Ed Morales. "A simple rose can convey so much – love, appreciation, and a reminder to stop and enjoy the moment."

Hundreds of commuters at Union Station were surprised by the gift of a long-stem red rose, as were people visiting the Old Town area of Pasadena. "It's a small token of our gratitude to the people throughout the community who support us each New Year, and we hope that it invites people to stop and, of course, smell the roses," Morales said.
