UK: Flower and gift delivery service released anti-hay fever bouquet

As Britain hits peak hay fever season, flower and gift delivery service, Eflorist has released a new 'Anti-Hay Fever Bouquet' to ensure that even allergy sufferers can experience the joy of fresh flowers in their home.

Hay fever is a common allergy that affects around 1 in 4 in the UK - the equivalent of 16 million people - and consists of sneezing, an itchy throat and eyes, coughing, and drowsiness, amongst other symptoms.

The new 'Anti-Hay Fever Bouquet' features a selection of low-allergen flowers including snapdragons, roses, peonies, and daffodils. Each of these flowers is low in pollen, with some such as peonies being pollinated by insects, rather than the wind.

"This bouquet is sure to settle the nerves for floral lovers who still want to incorporate the beauty of nature into their homes without any nasty side effects," the company states.

Eflorist believes that suffering from hay fever shouldn't put a stop to enjoying the beauty of a bouquet, so not only are these flowers suitable for allergy sufferers, but they also make for a stunning bouquet when put together.

David Denyer, Flower Expert at Eflorist, comments: "At Eflorist, sharing the beauty of flowers is so important, it's why we do what we do. "But when it comes to hay fever, we understand that not everyone can enjoy a bouquet of flowers without any side effects. That's why we've created The Anti-Hay Fever Bouquet. Featuring a selection of low-pollen and low-fragrance flowers, we hope that this bouquet will allow hay fever sufferers to enjoy nature in their homes without the risk of allergies."
