Wyevale Nurseries has taken six New Plant Awards at the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) National Plant Show at NAEC Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire yesterday (June 19, 2024).
They include Bronzes for Heucheras 'Pinky Panky' and 'Snowy Panky', Bronze for Philadelphus 'Petite Perfume White' and Silver for Philadelphus 'Petite Perfume Pink', Silver for Mahonia 'Meteor' and Gold for Sorbaria 'Crimson Feather'.
The Sorbaria 'Crimson Feather' won gold.
Andy Johnson, Managing Director at the Hereford-based commercial grower, says: "We're so delighted with these wins. We put forward seven exciting new plants to be judged at the show and to have come away with six awards in total including a Gold and two Silvers is wonderful.
The Philadelphus 'Petite Perfume Pink' and Mahonia 'Meteor' won silver.
"Our 2024 entries were selected to mirror some of the trends our retail customers are seeing instore. They are all beneficial for wildlife and some of them are ideal for those with smaller green spaces who want something stunning in a pot that's easy to care for. We also chose entries that can survive some of the changes in weather patterns we're now experiencing too.
Mahonia 'Meteor' won silver, and Heucheras 'Pinky Panky' and 'Snowy Panky' won bronze.

"We're handing out our new full color, printed 2025 catalog as well. It features 14 great new additions for retailers to consider for next year too."
The HTA National Plant Show takes place again today, Thursday, June 20, in Halls 1 & 2 at NAEC Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.
