With Explorer, you can purchase based on current supply from direct trade and clock presales. The buyer's experience is determined partly by the quality of the supply. We spoke to Sadrettin, buyer and seller at Azzura. We asked him more about his experiences with the Explorer and Exporter module, the Azzurra company and the future with Floriday.
Azzurra B.V. has been exporting flowers, plants and accessories for over six years. Sadrettin has worked for various exporters for years and has been with Azzurra B.V. for two years. Together with his colleague, he handles purchases and sales. "I've been a Floriday user from the start. Initially alongside FloraXchange, but now entirely on Floriday. It's easier to navigate and more modern, and if there's something we don't know, the support response times are short."
Finding the supply
"I handle sales as well as purchases. On Tuesdays, I receive order requests from end customers which I then divide into auction and direct trade. On Thursday the truck leaves for Turkey. It's my responsibility to have the trading completed on time. To achieve this, we work with Florisoft in combination with Floriday."
"Personal contact is crucial to us and we also visit growers regularly. This creates close connections for direct trade. Explorer in Floriday works very smoothly, thanks in part to the choice between exploring and purchasing. If we still don't meet the minimum delivery quantity with a grower, I go to the Growers' Shop to see what else they have to offer to supplement my order request. Being able to search clock presales supply in Floriday is also a valuable addition. This means there's no need to wait for the auction and saves time each day."
"The supply on Floriday is much more up-to-date than on FloraXchange, so I can rely on it. For a while, this went exceptionally well and I was really enthusiastic about this way of working. But lately, I've been receiving more corrections. This is a pity. It would be great if the supply was kept up-to-date by the grower. That's the only way it's really going to work for us."
Working with the Exporters portal
Azzurra B.V. has a transparent approach when working with its end customers. "Previously, a customer from Istanbul would periodically come to the Netherlands to search for the supply through my account. This can now be done easily with the Exporters portal. It works very well. I receive the order requests in my Floriday account for approval. Whereas previously I created quotes based on what I thought was relevant, they can now specify in Floriday themselves what they are looking for. This leaves the market to do its work and saves me half a day per week."
Call to growers: update your supply
"I see a bright future and have great confidence in Floriday. We do have to work together to fully reap the benefits. The supply must not only be entered but also kept up to date."
