Asocolflores and CECODES join forces to offer training on sustainability

For 30 years, Asocolflores and Cecodes have forged a strategic alliance to promote sustainability in Colombia. According to the two organizations, this joint commitment has allowed the development of initiatives that benefit the country's flower sector. This year, the alliance will enable the development of a training cycle during July and October, specifically designed and directed for the sector.

The Colombian Business Council for Sustainable Development, Cecodes, is the Colombian chapter of the global organization World Business Council for Sustainable Development, of which Asocolflores is a founding member and current affiliate. The president of its board of directors, Augusto Solano, who is also the executive president of Asocolflores, seeks to demonstrate the sector's leadership and commitment to sustainability by taking these training spaces as an example.

This academic offering has been created based on an analysis of the needs of the Colombian flower sector, which must be reinforced with new international trends in sustainability. Aware that sustainability impacts and requires attention in all areas of flower companies, from administration to production, this program offers themes adapted to each area, allowing all employees of companies affiliated with Asocolflores to benefit from the knowledge provided.

It should be noted that this training cycle consists of seven completely free virtual sessions that only require pre-registration by participants.

Below is the agenda of the training cycle, designed to address the most relevant topics and provide practical tools:
