The growing role of plant influencers in the global market

In recent years, the role of influencers has extended beyond fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. Now, they're making a significant impact in an unexpected industry: plants, states the L&G Agroflowers team.

Plant Influencers
"Plant influencers, also known as "plantfluencers," have gained prominence on social media platforms. They share their love for greenery, gardening tips, and plant care techniques. Their engaging content resonates with plant enthusiasts, leading to increased interest in houseplants, succulents, and exotic flora," they say.

Global Trends
According to Statista's Influencer Advertising – Worldwide study, the global investment in influencer marketing is projected to reach $30.81 billion by 2023. By 2027, this figure is expected to grow to $47.8 billion1. Plant influencers play a vital role in this growth, as they inspire millions of followers to embrace plant parenthood.

Colombian Market Insights
They add: Colombia, known for its vibrant flora, has witnessed a surge in plant influencers. Agencies like Goldfish, Influur, Buzzly, and RealFluencers manage over 8,500 influencers across various social media platforms. These influencers cater to diverse audiences, sharing their passion for plants and encouraging sustainable living.

"LYG Agroflowers wanted to actively participate with some of the main plantfluencers in the country, in different activities, this time a pleasant visit from the youtuber Cesar Correa @es.cesarcorrea, passionate about plants, to our gardens. Gardens full of tests of new varieties from world-class hybridizers such as Benary, Panamerican Seeds, Syngenta flowers, among others," the team says.
