Automation meets artificial intelligence with the RoBoCut system

RoBoTec GmbH is officially launching RoBoCut, a solution for fully automated and autonomous plant production. This globally patented system uses AI technologies and laser-based cutting techniques to make the production of young plants more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly.

Young Plant Production
With high-precision 3D image recognition and deep learning software, the system ensures optimal cutting lines, increasing yields and minimizing losses. This enables automated, sterile plant propagation on an industrial scale, surpassing previous manual methods and setting entirely new standards.

"With RoBoCut, we enable local plant production worldwide," explains Stephan von Rundstedt, CEO of RoBoTec. "Our technology enables the local production of young plants, avoiding unnecessary transport routes and CO2 emissions. This is a crucial step towards increasing supply security around the world. RoBoCut is an active contribution to food security, as high-quality starting material can be reliably mass-produced."

  • High-throughput precision: The system combines 3D image recognition and
AI/deep learning to perform precise and repeatable cuts
  • Contactless laser cutting: This reduces the transmission of plant diseases
and improves the quality of plant cuts
  • Sterility: A fully sterile working environment minimizes the risk of contamination
  • Flexibility: RoBoCut is capable of processing a wide variety of plant species.

Friederike von Rundstedt, CEO, and plant specialist, emphasizes: "Generally speaking, plant production on-site, no matter where in the world, not only makes economic sense, but is also environmentally friendly. RoBoCut enables sustainable and resource-efficient production, reducing the need for chemical plant protection products and improving plant quality."

Market Launch and Future Prospects
With the launch of RoBoCut, RoBoTec aims to support large breeders and plant producers in Europe and worldwide in transforming agriculture and setting new standards for efficiency and sustainability. The company invites interested parties to learn about the benefits of RoBoCut and to help shape the future of plant production.
