Paper data loggers can now be read without an app

Tapp has introduced an update to its paper data loggers. The unique concept integrates recyclable sensors and chips into paper made from agricultural waste. Thanks to this latest feature, called QuickTap, the data loggers can now be read without having to download an app first. The data is directly in the cloud and immediately accessible and visible. "This is a serious update. The user-friendliness of our data loggers has risen to unprecedented heights with this," Niels Postma says proudly.

Since its inception, the Leeuwarden-based startup has grown by 40 per cent annually. Meanwhile, Tapp has 90 customers in the fresh produce and floriculture sectors, among others.

Earlier this year, Tapp received growth financing from Scherpenhuizen and Freshclusive. This money has already brought about this latest update, among other things. ''And there are many more great updates coming with which we can make our data loggers even better,'' Niels said.
