Christening of a new rose at the Rose Festival in Lottum

On Saturday, August 10, 2024, filmmaker Ruud Lenssen christened a new rose variety named "Misty Memory" in Lottum. The ceremony took place during the annual Rose Festival, held from August 9-11. The rose, developed by Pheno Geno Roses, is a light pink hybrid tea variety and was named after Ruud's mother, who passed away in 2021 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. The rose has been introduced to raise awareness of the disease and to support Alzheimer Nederland. We are proud to be a part of such a meaningful ceremony and to contribute to the fight for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the "Misty Memory" will be donated to Alzheimer Nederland.
