Vitroflora presents new range of young perennial plants and grasses for 2025 season

Vitroflora, a producer of seedlings of perennials and ornamental grasses, recently published their perennial and grass catalog for the 2025 season.

Vitroflora is a family-owned company based in Poland with farms in Poland, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

The Heliopsis 'OrioleTM Yellow', Nepeta 'Blue PlanetTM', Lythrum 'LuminaraTM Hot Pink', Pennisetum 'Rubens' are the novelties to be found in Vitroflora's latest Perennials & Grasses catalog.

According to Vitroflora, the catalog for the 2025 season contains almost 1,400 plants illustrated with photos.

"The additional value of the presented catalog is the distinction (both in descriptions and photos) that is made between plants that are mainly intended for garden layouts and plantings (L - landscape), and those that are intended for the seasonal decoration market (V – visual)."

"The extensive range is linked to the immense work of our product management team. Every year, we trial thousands of new varieties from breeders around the world and from respected breeding programs. We participate in many of these ourselves, determining breeding directions based on our knowledge of market demand."

"One of our other strengths is that we have several field collections, which allows us to check the real winter hardiness of varieties in the conditions of the 6th climatic zone, where our Polish company headquarter is located. We have planted one of the largest collections of commercially produced perennials in Europe. We call it a Living Catalogue," emphasizes company president Tomasz Michalik.

An important part of the range are young grasses and sedges plants. Vitroflora produces cuttings on its own farm in Portugal, taking advantage of local weather conditions to prepare material available at earlier dates than those of production in Central Europe.

Vitaflora points out that the young plants are available in various size standards.

"Care for the environment also determines the company's activities. From year to year, Vitroflora reduce the proportion of peat in substrates, in some products it does not exceed 30 %. Thanks to increasingly better understanding of plant physiology, we are reducing the use of chemical protection products, successfully replacing them with biological ones."

The online catalog and the full range of products are available on the company's website: vitroflora.pl.
