The two-day conference was held at the Radisson Blu, Dwarka New Delhi on 7-8 August 2024. According to the India Florist Association, 235 floral entrepreneurs attended from 67 different cities in India.
Experience and knowledge were shared by mostly female florists and entrepreneurs. Sessions included the use of AI and video editing tools in the field of floristry presented by Anand Kumar President of IFA. Another master class was held by vice-president Shrikant Kanoi on how a retail florist can start wedding decor. Other sessions included open discussions, networking, and exhibitions of exotic fresh flowers, artificial flowers, floral accessories, containers and baskets made from water hyacinths.
Among the attendees were fresh flowers, orchids, tropical flowers, and foliage growers. Awards were given to winners of floral design competitions in different categories. A few outstanding performers were given the 'Award of Honour'.
Florists who completed 10 and 25 plus years respectively in the floristry industry were also awarded certificates.
