Nivolator vertical fan system promises energy savings

The Nivolator vertical fan is one of the Nivola products sold by Global Horticultural Inc. The Nivolator has been introduced in the 1960s. "The Nivolator stood the test of time, it has continued to prove itself in greenhouses, especially with the current trends towards larger, higher greenhouses with a larger volume of dead air, increased disease pressure and higher root pressure," says Benedict Blom, President of Global Horticultural Inc.

He states that the Nivolator fan is designed for those who struggle to maintain a consistent humidity throughout the greenhouse and is dealing with pockets of stale air.

Blom:"The Nivolator helps create a uniform environment in the greenhouse, keep the crop active and generate energy savings through vertical air distribution."

"It's an energy-efficient solution that is virtually maintenance-free, with a motor power of 180 watts, a fan speed of 700 RPM and an airflow of 8 cubic meters per hour. With an option to install a cage around the fan, Nivolator can also be used in low greenhouses without posing a risk to workers.

The number of fans installed in the greenhouse depends on the crop, greenhouse height as well as location, with regional differences in humidity having an impact on the number of fans required."
