UK: RHS Wisley warns show visitors about M25 roadworks

The organisers of one of the biggest flower shows in the country is urging visitors to plan ahead before heading to the site in Surrey. This year's Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) event at Wisley coincides with major roadworks on the nearby M25/A3 junction.

The RHS and National Highways have been working to minimise disruption to the show which runs from 3-8 September. A free shuttle bus will run from Woking station and Ripley post office, to encourage the use of public transport.

The roadworks are part of a £317m scheme to increase the number of lanes at the M25's junction with the A3, due for completion in the summer of 2025. In March, the RHS said the roadworks had contributed to a decline in its visitor numbers.
