NL: Photo report Autumn Fair

The Autumn Fair in Aalsmeer, which took place last week, is over. Somewhere in the corner of the auction, with carts full of flowers driving around in the background, several exhibitors presented their assortment again.

Clockwise: Arno Sanders of Air So Pure, Annemiek Hofland and Fleur Buitendijk of Hofland Flowering Plants, René Millenaar and Hans Vlekke, Sales Management of the auction, and Samantha van der Gaag and Myron Dijkhuizen of Berkhout Plants.

It was not busy, according to most exhibitors. But everyone is again appreciative of the atmosphere: "It is positive". There are a lot of fairs during these months, but this one cannot be missed. Especially for companies with a specific autumn range, the fair is a good opportunity to present.

Gerard Voois of Kwekerij de Rijke attended the fair again: "It's always nice to be here. It was busier yesterday, especially at this time of day. You know what they say: cyclamens don't make you rich. But we can't complain, it's pleasant and everyone is positive."

Tom from nursery Zeurniet was also present: "It's a good fair. We don't really bring novelties, that's for the bigger fairs." At Christem and Ignacio of Bovel Palms, a bottle of wine was already being opened towards the end of the fair. They had come to Aalsmeer from Merelbeke in Belgium to show off their range and network.

Decorum made their debut at the Autumn Fair, where they were present to showcase their Decorum Only range. Decorum Only products are plants and flowers grown exclusively by Decorum growers. These varieties are therefore not available anywhere else, explained Arthur Kalkman, the company's new account manager.

All in all, there was a lot of positive noise and enough energy among the growers, sales managers, and others to go into the autumn with full force.
