Love for Lilies 2024 Challenge is officially here

The Love for Lilies 2024 Challenge has arrived, offering an opportunity to explore the boundaries of floral creativity. This challenge places lilies in the spotlight, not just as elegant accents but as the main attraction.

The challenge encourages participants to think beyond the traditional bouquet, mixing and matching different structures and styles to highlight the qualities of lilies. It's an opportunity to show the world how these stunning blooms can be the focal point.

Moreover, the challenge presents an opportunity for designers to win prizes totaling €250 in value. Awards will be given for the best overall design. For others, it's a chance to enjoy the wonderful designs and creativity that emerge.

Here's how to participate:

  1. Create an arrangement where lilies are the stars. Play with different colors, varieties, and styles to highlight their versatility.
  2. Post the design on social media with the hashtags #LoveForLiliesChallenge and #MasterFloristChallenge.
  3. Make sure to tag @Loveforlilies/@loveforlilies and @masterflorist on Facebook and Instagram.
  4. Prefer email? Send entries to [email protected].

The Love for Lilies collective, a group of 70 Dutch growers, highlights the importance of lilies in the flower industry.

This collective contributes 270 million lilies annually to the Royal FloraHolland auction. Their initiative, "Not Grown to Be Subtle," seeks to emphasize the lily's prominence in floral design, offering a base for creative florist endeavors.

Master Florist is "thrilled" to support this challenge. With a network and support system in place, the aim is to help florists and floral designers shine. "From smooth entry processes to effective flower promotion, there is a commitment to making promotion and participation as rewarding as possible."
