NL: Award for Tulip Experience Amsterdam

Tulip Experience Amsterdam has won another award. Director Sylvia Pennings proudly accepted the Tripadvisor honor. "As a family business, we do everything we can to help our visitors experience the story behind the tulip and the bulb grower. The fact that our visitors appreciate this is reflected in this award. What a wonderful reward." In 2025, the tourist attraction will be open daily from March 20 to May 11, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The tulip museum in Noordwijkerhout, which tells the story of tulip farming each spring, is incredibly popular with visitors. They share their experiences on the well-known travel app Tripadvisor. This international platform, where consumers exchange tips, awards the top 10% of the highest-rated attractions annually. "This is a huge honor for us," says Sylvia Pennings, "because this distinction is only given to attractions worldwide that consistently receive excellent reviews. In short, we are now officially in the top 10% of attractions globally! Incredible."

The young director leads a team that ensures visitors have a memorable experience. The story told at the Tulip Experience is rooted in her own family's history. "My grandfather started growing tulips, my father expanded the business, and now my cousin is bringing it into the future," explains Sylvia. "Many of my family members are involved in the business. We know what we're talking about, and visitors feel that connection the moment they step into our Experience."

New ideas are already in the works for next year. "You always have to keep evolving," says Sylvia. But the highlight for most visitors remains the chance to take uninterrupted photos among the tulips. "We'll soon start planting more than a million bulbs. With all those different varieties in one place, it creates countless opportunities for unique photos. Seeing the effort visitors put into capturing the perfect shot always brings a smile to our faces." All these elements come together, earning the museum positive reviews from nearly 120 countries.

Those hoping to visit the museum now will find the bulb farm in full swing, with crates of millions of bulbs ready to be shipped worldwide. The remaining bulbs will be planted in October and November, ready to dazzle tourists again with their vibrant colors in spring. In 2025, the museum will continue to tell the story of tulip farming and developments in the industry. Curious? Tulip Experience Amsterdam at Delfweg 37 in Noordwijkerhout will be open every day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, from March 20 to May 11.
