The Solfaro Pelargonium series of Brandkamp is consistently being expanded and improved. In breeding, the better is the enemy of the good, as Brandkamp knows very well. Three new P. zonale varieties and two P. peltatum varieties will be added for the 2024/2025 season.
In detail, these are the three new varieteies for P. zonale:
Solfaro Faro is a compact growing variety with very dark foliage with zone. "This single-flowering variety produces an abundance of bright red flowers throughout the summer, which form a perfect contrast to the very dark foliage. Another advantage is that Solfaro Faro, although single-flowered, does not trickle", the breeder says.
The other novelty is Solfaro Salvo, a variety with bright purple flowers. "This variety constantly produces new, double flowers above the fresh green foliage. The growth pattern is always harmonious, even in outdoor performances in summer."
And last but not least Solfaro Moniz, whicha is stronger growing with large orange flower spikes above green foliage. "A tireless continuous bloomer, particularly suitable for plant containers and bedding, whereby this robustly growing variety also holds its own well against strong competitors in the bed." 
The two new varieties of P. peltatum that are coming onto the market are:
Solfaro Tremes, "a variety that blooms in the absolute trend color candy pink with large, double umbels all summer long. The variety is rather short-growing but is suitable for hanging baskets as well as balcony boxes and plant containers - an all-rounder."
The other new variety is Solfaro Lamego. "This vareity has all the good qualities of Solfaro Tremes and, like it, can be used in a variety of ways. This variety of flowers is continuously in the color amethyst, which is traditionally popular with hanging geraniums."
