The coming months, Lüers will be busy organizing and attending fairs. The German tree nursery and plant wholesaler will not only organize their own exhibition, from November 1st 2024 till January 15, they will also participate in the Trade Fair Aalsmeer in the Netherlands, from November 5-7, 2024 and the German Tree Nursery Fair at Hemmje Nursery in Westerstede-Ocholt dated November 19-21, 2024.
Winter exhibition
Since many years, Lüers conducts a winter exhibition at their property in the village of Westerstederfeld in the county capital of Westerstede in the northwestern region of Ammerland.
The nursery produces on 48 ha mainly Calluna, Daboecia and Erica carnea of the brand Beauty Seasons, an assortment of bamboo and ornamental grasses in 2-20 l pots as well as hedge plants like Thuja 'Smaragd' and 'Brabant' or evergreen or foliage shedding plants. They are pot-grown to ensure long-lasting quality. The containers are made from recycled material. An important part of the production is the assortment of Bio-fruit crops like berry plants in 2-3 l, dwarf pome- and stone fruit trees in 6,3 l and bush forms in the 10 l - container. The larger pots make a longer storage at the point-of-sale easier. The concept Stadt Ernte won in 2021 the TASPO-Award for Vegetables/ Herbs/ Fruit crops. The family-owned wholesale company is selling the own production as well as nursery stock produced in the Ammerland area, Holstein and the Netherlands.
Trade Fair Aalsmeer
During the Trade Fair in Aalsmeer, Lüers will present its new concept Bio-Plus+. Lüers is one of the 4 partners. Details will be available at the booth (33.7). Production will take place entirely in Germany, from sowing the rootstocks to grafting to producing the finished crops to ensure quality and sustainability. Also, to ring the upcoming Christmas Season, Lüers will show the assortment of festively decorated trees made in the nursery.
German Tree Nursery Fair
In addition, Lüers will cooperate with 9 other regional nurseries to participate at the "German Tree Nursery Fair" at Hemmje Nursery in Westerstede-Ocholt dated November 19-21, 2024.

Beauty Seasons
Lüers is a producer of the winter-hardy heather brand Beauty Seasons® in Northern Germany. The nursery produces annually approx. 1.7 million heather plants, the entire assortment of the breeder Beauty Seasons, especially the Calluna program Beauty Ladies®, the Irish Bell Heather Daboecia cantabrica Bella Beauties® and the Snow Heather (Erica carnea) Winter Ladies®.
Heckenprofi
Lüers produces every year approx. 800.000 hedge plants under the brand name Heckenprofi, mostly Thuja 'Smaragd' and 'Brabant' , but also the evergreen foliage crops like Photinia and Prunus lusitanica as well as the trees for the future adapting to continuous climate changes like Carpinus betulus and Fagus sylvatica. According to Lüers, the latter shed the leaves in autumn and therefore are more resilient to heat and drought. All crops are pot-grown. The containers are made from recycled material.
Bamboo collection
Since many years, Lüers is a specialty nursery for ornamental grasses. Fargesia 'Green Bamboo'® is an own bamboo collection. The assortment of grasses comes in 2 l, 5 l, 10 l and 20 l containers.
Stadt Ernte
Stadt Ernte means „City harvest" and encompasses fruit crops suitable for balcony, terraces and small gardens. The berry plants come in 2 and 3 l containers in EU-Bio-quality. The programme won the TASPO-Award in the category "Best Vegetables, herbs and fruit crops" in 2021.
Fruchtbar
Fruchtbar is the assortment of historical varieties or cultivars edible for consumers with certain fruit allergies. The dwarf form will be produced in 6,3 l pots, the bush form in 10 l containers produced under environmentally friendly conditions.
Bio-Plus
Lüers is one of the four Bio-Plus partners. This is a cooperation of four family-owned nurseries with years of expertise in the production, sales and marketing of berry plants as well as pome- and stone crops. This program has been nominated in various categories for a TASPO-Award in the year 2024. All aspects of the tree production from sowing the rootstocks, grafting and production to the sales is completely taking place regionally in Northern Germany, thus guarantees sustainability and quality.
All the sales person in the markets or the consumer need is to click on the QR-code printed on the promotional material delivered with the product or logging in the website www.bio-plus.info. All essential horticultural information is made available, like which varieties are compatible with each other for proper pollination and fruit development or the most common pruning techniques.
"Sustainable tree production starts by selecting the right, robust cultivars, encompasses the usage of peat-reduced growing media and biological plant growth enhancing formula instead of pesticides." The foundation is the EU-BIO-certificate.
