According to Avianca, Ecuador's cargo transport has grown by about 20% over the last four years, with 90% of the cargo from this destination being flowers that are exported to markets in the United States and Europe. Currently, the airline operates more than 220 weekly cargo flights and over 1,400 flights with belly capacity, connecting over 70 destinations around the world.
Avianca Cargo seeks to increase its cargo capacity by approximately 20% in 2024, in anticipation of high-demand seasons. This decision reflects the company's commitment to adapting to and meeting the needs of the dynamic floriculture market, supporting Ecuadorian exporters in delivering their products to international markets punctually and safely, states the Avianca team.
