Paardekooper and SK Roses partner for flower sleeves

Paardekooper has announced that SK Roses chooses Recy Clear flower sleeves from Paardekooper.

Marc Koene, Director at SK Roses, says, "The Recy Clear sleeves from Paardekooper fit perfectly with the image we want to convey, both in terms of sustainability and quality. The sleeves provide a premium look & feel, which showcases our roses beautifully."

Chris Thurston, Account Manager at Paardekooper said: "We are proud of this collaboration. SK Roses is a leader in sustainability, and their choice of Recy Clear confirms their commitment to contributing to a greener future."

Meeting the market demand for eco-friendly packaging
According to SK Roses, the demand for sustainable packaging solutions continues to grow, especially in the retail sector as more and more large retailers are looking for ways to reduce their environmental impact.

Research findings
"Independent research by The LCA Centre of Paardekooper has confirmed that Recy Clear sleeves are the greenest choice compared to other flower sleeves. Recy Clear emerged as an eco-friendly option, with a lower CO₂ impact than standard OPP sleeves or even 85% recycled PE sleeves. This means that by using these sleeves, we are directly contributing to a reduced environmental footprint."

Sustainability
SK Roses states that it remains committed to taking steps toward full sustainability: "In addition to choosing green packaging, we are investing in renewable energy, such as solar panels, LED lighting, and electric boilers. We also supply residual heat to the surrounding community. Our ultimate goal is to meet all EU regulations by 2030 and operate entirely climate-neutral by 2040."
