The Brazilian government has announced that Saudi Arabia has granted market access for the export of flowers and hay from Brazil. This marks the third market access granted by Saudi Arabia to Brazilian products this year. In March, Saudi Arabia approved the import of Brazilian vegetable seeds, followed by the authorization of live poultry imports in August.
Between January and September 2024, Brazil exported approximately USD 2 billion worth of agricultural products to Saudi Arabia, positioning the country as the 15th largest destination for Brazilian agribusiness exports.
With these recent developments, Brazilian agribusiness has secured its 184th market access in 2024, bringing the total to 262 market entries in 61 destinations since the start of 2023. These accomplishments are the result of joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
