NL: Eight edition of I-Grow Inside taking place on November 19

Will robotics take over humans in CEA?

On Tuesday, November 19, World Horti Center is organizing the eighth edition of I-Grow Inside. During the seminar, which can also be followed online as well, a panel of three professionals will dive into the topic 'Will robotics take over humans in CEA?'. Robotics has taken off in recent years, including in the horticulture industry. How do growers deal with this and when is the right time for them to make the switch? The panel shares their vision on this topic by means of various statements. I-Grow Inside can be attended at World Horti Center or followed online.

Will robotics take over humans in CEA?
Robotics is popping up everywhere, including in the horticulture industry. It once seemed futuristic, but now there are robots picking tomatoes and drones flying through the greenhouse. Developments are moving fast, but not every grower is ready for this. Most growers wonder when to make the switch and what changes need to be implemented in the business operation. Growers have many questions and are often skeptical about the many experimental developments. While co-creation between developer and grower is one of the most important things, it helps the horticulture cluster move forward and keeps it at the forefront of innovation.

Panel of three
A panel of three professionals dives into this complex topic during I-Grow Inside and is ready to answer any questions from growers. World Horti Center is happy to announce that the panel is formed by Timo Kleijwegt, Sales & Product Manager at Certhon, Boy de Nijs, Product Manager of Labor & Robotics at Ridder, and Renko Schuil, Sales Manager of Indoor Farming at TTA. Led by moderator Matthijs van den Beukel, they will enter into a discussion with each other, Matthijs will present interesting statements to the panel and bring in questions from the audience.
