NL: Mastercourse meet-up officially begins

This week a brand new Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture kicked off. This week the program will focus on the Westland region, and next week the group will also visit the IFTF and Aalsmeer Trade Fair.

During two intensive weeks in the Netherlands, the selected participants are immersed in a wealth of horticultural knowledge and experience. Koppert, Logiqs, Viscon, Dümmen Orange, Klasmann-Deilmann, Chrysal, Bunnik Creations, Ledgnd, Floramedia, Greenhouse Sustainability and Van Krimpen are partners of the Pro Manager Mastercourse. The participants will be received by members of the board of directors at each of the aforementioned companies.

The focus of the course is the future of the floricultural sector whereby sustainability takes center stage. Cooperating companies' directors are receiving the participants and will discuss merely strategy and vision in the form of interactive sessions and workshops. At the same time, the course is an opportunity to get to know peers from around the globe and to work together intensively for two weeks.

Jungle Talks also continues its cooperation with AIPH on organizing the 'Young International Grower of the Year Award'. During the Aalsmeer Trade Fair on Wednesday 6 November the three finalists will be announced. Then later on at the International Grower of the Year gala at the IPM in Essen, the final winner will be revealed.

Jungle Talks will maintain and foster the contacts between participants, partners, and supporters also after the Pro Manager Mastercourse, to make sure that all parties will make the most of this valuable cooperation."

A new step in fostering these connections is the Mastercourse Meet Up, organized for the first time in Brazil last August. Meet Ups are 5-day programs during in which the focus lies on networking and exploring a floricultural region. "We are planning on visiting the Niagara region in Canada in September 2025," mentions Ed Smit. Only Mastercourse alumni can participate in these meetings, thus strengthening and expanding the alumni network in the coming years.
