'Camellia Femme Fatal' wins first prize at the Glazen Tulp Awards 2024

Plants under Plantipp management received four awards in the category Garden Plants of the Glazen Tulp Awards 2024.

The first prize was awarded to Camellia japonica L. Femme Fatale®, sent in by Snepvangers Tuinplanten and bred by Camellia expert Dr Jiyin Gao from China. "This Camellia is celebrated for glossy dark green foliage decorated with burgundy red new shoots. All gathered in an upright, bushy habit."

The second place was claimed by the Agapanthus BlackJack ('DWAghyb02'PBR), sent in by Hoogeveen Plants & Leybeart. "Its dark purple, near-black flowers offer a dramatic flair."

The third place was awarded to Geum 'Orange Pumpkin' PBR, sent in by Colour Your Season – Natuurlijk Hopmans. "Its innovative vibrant orange, double, ruffled flowers captivated the judges and the public with its unique hue and charm." Geum 'Orange Pumpkin' PBR also won the Public's Choice Award.
