Each year, from mid to late November, chrysanthemums bloom in several Chinese cities. Flower companies and local governments are creating chrysanthemum parks which people can visit to learn more about chrysanthemums and take photos. In Shanghai Yangpu Park, for instance, designers used colorful chrysanthemum varieties to build a Monet-style garden.
As 2024 is the Chinese Dragon year, a chrysanthemum dragon is on display in Guangzhou. And in Hangzhou pot chrysanthemums are in the spotlight. Those who are also interested in other flowers could visit a show in Nanjing that showcases a combination of chrysanthemums, sunflowers, and orchids.
