US: Envu expands product offerings for nursery and greenhouse growers

Envu U.S. Turf & Ornamentals has announced a portfolio expansion of its product lineup to include five new solutions specifically designed for nursery and greenhouse growers. According to Envu U.S., growing the ornamental portfolio is uniquely challenging due to the need for precise management of light, temperature, and humidity. It is also challenging to manage pests and diseases to meet the specific requirements of diverse plant species.

Mark Schneid, head of commercial operations for the Americas region at Envu said: "This is a very exciting time for Envu and for the nursery greenhouse market in the U.S. In line with our vision, this news is proof positive of our commitment to growers to have the best portfolio of tools to solve their toughest issues."

Starting in January 2025, Envu will exclusively take over the following products to the Envu lineup:

Adept insect growth regulator
A tool with effective control of fungus gnats, armyworms, and shoreflies. Adept is also effective on foliar-feeding pests found in ornamentals grown in greenhouses and shade houses as well as in interiorscapes, as stated by Envu.

B-Nine plant growth regulator
A plant growth regulator that reduces plant height and reduces internode length in ornamental plant material.

Floramite miticide
According to Envu, this product is known for its control of a variety of mites and all life stages of spider mites while being a compatible tool with beneficial mites and compliments most Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and resistance management programs.

Shuttle miticide
A mode of action for control of two-spotted spider mites as well as other species of mites. A tool for rotational programs to avoid mite resistance.

Terrazole L fungicide and Terrazole 35WP fungicide
A fungicide for prevention and control of soil diseases caused by Pythium and Phytophthora. Terrazole can be used on ornamental and nursery plants as well as on tees and greens for golf course turf management.

These products are designed to complement the existing Envu Ornamentals portfolio. "We remain committed to meeting grower needs and solving their biggest challenges," says Peter Farno, Head of Ornamentals at Envu.
