The trustee in bankruptcy of DecoNova Young Plants B.V. at Roelofarendsveen and Nieuwveen has concluded an (asset) agreement with Straathof Plants B.V. "An urgent takeover was necessary to preserve the quality of the plant material and to secure the future delivery of orders to customers."
The District Court of The Hague declared DecoNova bankrupt on December 3, 2024. Mr. J.A. Dullaart, associated with Cees Advocaten was appointed as trustee. The trustee and his team investigated the possibilities for a restart with a focus on preservation of live plant material, prevention of crop damage to customers and the interests of the staff and stakeholders involved. To investigate a relaunch, an information memorandum was sent to potentially interested parties for a takeover, and a bidding process was subsequently completed.
"Agreement has been reached with Straathof Plants B.V. on the basis of a decisive offer, ensuring the immediate continuation of the production and delivery of plant material."
