India: Jamshedpur Flower Show wraps up with new winners

The Horticultural Society Jamshedpur, in collaboration with Tata Steel UISL and Tata Steel, is hosting the 34th Annual Flower Show from December 29, 2024, to January 1, 2025, at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur. The event features an array of vibrant blooms, floral designs, and horticultural exhibits, drawing enthusiasts from across India.

The two-day 41st All-India Rose Convention, part of the event, concluded on December 30 with winners honored during a ceremony graced by D.B. Sundara Raman, Vice President (Raw Materials), Tata Steel.

In the 34th Annual Flower Show, Prerna Todi emerged as the overall champion in the Amateurs category, while XLRI claimed the title in the Institutions category. The "Queen of the Show" in Chrysanthemum for Institutions went to Vig English School, while Manju Bhamra won in the Amateurs category.

In the Best Display (Exhibits) Amateurs category, Raja secured the first spot, followed by S.B. Mandal. In the Institutions category, Tata Steel Noamundi, OMQ Division, claimed first place, with Tata Steel Meramandali in second and a special award for Tata Steel Foundation. Parmila Nursery won the Stall and Hanger Exhibit award.
