The Mastergrowers:

Digitizing business for a better future

In 2022, The Mastergrowers started trading through Floriday. They wanted to digitize their business and saw Floriday as an opportunity to improve their work processes. "It now takes less time to fulfill order requests, and their way of working has become more efficient." Recently, Floriday has started enforcing minimum delivery quantities. What does this mean for their growing process and how does this suit the requirements of The Mastergrowers nursery?

The Mastergrowers is a merger of the companies Dijk van Dijk and nursery de Bonfut. They joined forces as growers of indoor hydrangeas. At the nursery, you will find a wide range of hydrangeas which they market throughout Europe. Most of all products leave through direct trade.

Danique started at The Mastergrowers five years ago. In addition to her sales role, she is responsible for MPS certifications and regularly takes product images. Danique: "Floriday took some getting used to at first, but I couldn't do without it now. I even explain how some of the functions work to others."

'Greater efficiency and faster work'
Danique: "We want to keep up with digitization and continue to evolve ourselves accordingly. Previously, order lines were entered manually. This was a time-consuming task. We now work more efficiently, faster and more clearly. Now order requests come in, and we process them with a few clicks, leaving more time for customer relations and expanding the network. Corrections are easily submitted through Floriday and can be found in one place. It also gives us more time to offer a remaining lot; using the availability filter simply turn a lot on or off for sale."

'Greater security of supply and clarity in terms of delivery conditions'
Floriday has recently started enforcing minimum delivery quantity and lead times. Floriday asked Danique how The Mastergrowers found this: 'Before we worked with Floriday, we already used fixed lead times. We also adhered to these when setting conditions in the platform. So, our customers were already used to the lead times, and we didn't notice much of a difference. Because we have now also set a minimum order quantity, this reduces the likelihood of ordering per container."

'Clarity towards customers'
"By setting delivery conditions, Floriday seeks to providing clarity to customers and our work processes are more efficient. This provides both us and the customer with more certainty of supply and means we both know where we stand. We also see this from a sustainability perspective. We transport our products ourselves, so minimize driving for small orders. For customers with an online shop, we work with separate delivery conditions that can be set up on a customer-specific basis."

Setting delivery conditions in Floriday
The Mastergrowers have set general delivery conditions as well as customer-specific conditions. "It's important for buyers to know when to expect their products before they order. So, setting delivery terms in Floriday is important. There are several ways to set your delivery conditions in Floriday." To do this effectively, Floriday has listed some handy tools you can use:
