Two years after launching their communication concept, 'The Art of Recycled Plastic,' Desch seeks to continue advancing its sustainability efforts. "We are dedicated to advancing our environmental goals and pushing boundaries through expanding our range of NIR-detectable and Cyclos HTP-certified products, including innovative brands like Recover® and D-Tect®Plus, and reducing the product weight while maintaining functionality, as demonstrated in the development of Flowerbuckets Light and SBX Light Containers", says Kees Waqué, Manager Retail & Marketing at this pot, container and tray manufacturer for the horticulture industry with production locations in the Netherland, the UK and Poland.

A legacy of sustainable art
With 'The Art of Recycled Plastic,' they sought to redefine how recycled plastic is viewed in the horticultural industry. "By merging technical innovation with artistic vision, we transformed recycled plastic into an enduring symbol of creativity and sustainability. The 'Descher' is a tribute to Escher's transformative designs, depicting a fabric softener bottle evolving into a flowerpot, symbolizing the circular journey of waste to value."

"The 'Rethinker' is inspired by Rodin's The Thinker, this sculpture represents the thoughtful innovation required for sustainability and is crafted from recycled and detectable pots and trays. These sculptures, featured across our premises, trucks, and online platforms, reflect Desch's commitment to fostering a circular plastic value chain, aligned with initiatives like Rethink Plastics."
