The Northern Hemisphere tulip season is in full swing. But will there be enough tulips? "Everybody between the United States and Holland is talking about the uncertainty in the tulip market. We saw this on the horizon and have secured our bulbs for both classics and double varieties", says Werner Jansen, CEO at Bloomia, a year-round tulip grower based in King George Virginia. Their Double Tulip program kicks off on February 17th and runs through Mother's Day.
Bloomia is one of the few remaining tulip farms in the United States and is strategically positioned on the East Coast with nationwide distribution lanes.
According to Jansen they are very fortunate to be in a good position for this spring. "We are excited as our Northern Hemisphere tulip season is in full swing. Being a domestic farm, we offer the freshest flowers available, which equals a phenomenal experience for consumers."
Bloomia is now taking Pre-Books for their 2025 Double Tulip Season, offering varieties such as Mondial (white), Double Price (purple), Columbus (pink/white bicolor) and the Icoon (pictured).
