Multiflora A/S chooses Porta Nova's Red Naomi Futura

This week, Multiflora A/S launched the Red Naomi Futura roses. The company is the first in Denmark to have chosen roses of Dutch grower Porta Nova.

Contribution to green transition
Managing director Christian Eggert explains this step: "We have worked with Porta Nova roses for many years and have always been convinced of their quality. When we heard about the opportunity to buy roses with such a small footprint at an additional price of 15 øre, it was a no-brainer for us to go ahead with the green transition. We will not charge our customers this 15 øre; it is our contribution to the green transition of the industry."

Christian continues: "We are experiencing increasing demand for Ecolabelling on our products, countries of origin and inquiries about what we are doing. Multiflora believes that this is a big and important factor that will only get bigger in the future."

According to Porta Nova, this is their greenest scenario, based on 2023 measurements and assuming 100% wind energy. The footprint of 56 grams of CO2 per stem was measured by Greenhouse Sustainability and was shared with the industry for the first time at the last Trade Fair Aalsmeer.
