Alexander Bergmann on the Mayer Buffer Belt PT 5000

"This new buffer belt marks a leap in automation and user-friendliness"

"This buffer belt is a big step forward in automation and user-friendliness," says Alexander Bergmann, CEO of Mayer, when talking about the Buffer Belt PT 5000. Originally presented at IPM Essen 2023, an upgraded version was introduced the following year, and it has made a return in 2025.

According to Bergmann, the buffer table enables the pots to be handled efficiently. The tables are versatile. Either directly on the potting machine, or in combination with a returning belt also for spacing or packing the pots.

In addition to the buffer table, Mayer also presented its new TM 7500 potting machine. A potting machine with a straight turntable that is particularly suitable for use with a planting robot. It can fill up to 9,000 pots per hour and transfer them to a conveyor belt for further in-house transportation.
