Logiztik Alliance Group has taken a decisive step toward sustainability with concrete initiatives to reduce its carbon footprint, reinforcing its commitment to a cleaner and more efficient future.
Since May 2024, the company has implemented a solar panel system at one of its two warehouses in Quito, Ecuador. This project emphasizes its focus on energy efficiency and the use of renewable resources in day-to-day operations.
Impact
With 1,080 m² of solar panels, over 130,000 kWh of clean energy were generated during 2024. This effort resulted in a reduction of more than 15,600 kg of CO2 equivalent, the emissions associated with conventional electricity consumption.
The evaluation of this reduction was based on the emission factor of 0.1200 tCO2eq/MWh, as reported in the 2023 Emission Factor Report of Ecuador's National Interconnected System.
2024 energy crisis
The operations of this warehouse were minimally affected by the panels. This implementation ensures a stable and environmentally friendly energy supply, covering a large part of the warehouse's energy needs with sustainable sources.
This initiative is part of the company's three sustainability pillars, established after analyzing its carbon footprint. These pillars include People First, Carbon Footprint Reduction, and Sustainable Transport Options.
