Flower prices in Uzbekistan ahead of International Women’s Day

With International Women's Day on March 8 approaching, many people in Tashkent, Uzbekistan are purchasing flowers to celebrate.

Here's an overview of the prices for popular flower arrangements in the flower shops of the city.

A traditional bouquet with decoration costs around 300,000 UZS (approximately 25 EUR). A composition of hydrangeas is priced at 650,000 UZS (about 55 EUR), while rose bouquets are available for 500,000 UZS (around 42 EUR).

Tulips are some of the most popular flowers for International Women's Day. The cost of a single tulip ranges from 15,000 UZS (1.25 EUR) to 30,000 UZS (2.5 EUR) depending on the seller.

For a bouquet of tulips, a 25-flower bouquet can be purchased for about 275,000 UZS (around 23 EUR), making it a more affordable option.

Roses, being a classic gift for any occasion, are also in demand. The price for 51 roses starts at around 1.5 million UZS (125 EUR), while a larger bouquet of 101 roses can cost 2.5 million UZS (210 EUR). For a popular "Red Rose" bouquet, the starting price is 450,000 UZS (around 38 EUR).

For those looking for something a bit different, some florists are offering chocolate or strawberry bouquets. A unique strawberry bouquet is priced at 430,000 UZS (36 EUR), and depending on the size, the cost can go up to 1.15 million UZS (95 EUR). Chocolate bouquets range from 550,000 UZS (46 EUR) to 850,000 UZS (70 EUR), depending on the design.
