US (WA): Skagit Acres is blooming

The newest addition to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival, Skagit Acres, will debut its 3-acre tulip field on April 1, 2025. It will be open each day throughout April. Offering vistas of Mount Baker to the north, the new tulip field nestled amidst 25 acres of farmland will provide a picturesque setting with a stunning mountain view. And dogs are welcome (for free) to the field, too. Along with the brand-new tulip field, Skagit Acres is home to a premier garden center, a home décor gift shop, and a café, which are open throughout the year.

A partnership with purpose
Skagit Acres also announces its partnership with Children of the Valley, an organization that serves under-resourced Skagit Valley children and their families by empowering them through education, personal growth, and mentorship. Visitors to Skagit Acres can round-up at the registers to benefit Children of the Valley.

In addition, Skagit Acres will host initiatives throughout the year, such as Community Drives: Back-to-School Supplies Drive, Winter Coat Drive, and support for the organization's Giving Tree, and Educational Awareness: Learn about Children of the Valley's mission through displays and get involved.

"The mission of Children of the Valley ties beautifully into our commitment to help grow what grew us – investing in the future of the next generation of Skagitonians," Skagit Acres Owner Rachael Sparwasser. "Their unique approach, where each student is referred by a teacher, enables Children of the Valley to build deep, personal connections with local youth and their families, amplifying the impact they make. This partnership is incredibly meaningful as we join forces to create lasting change for local youth."

"Children of the Valley was started by the community, for the community, and we are honored to partner with a local business that shares in our commitment to investing in the next generation of Skagit County," said Children of the Valley's Executive Director Flora Lucatero. "Together, we can create an even greater impact to help our community thrive."
