US: Hishtil's CAST display highlights innovation and sustainability

During the 2025 California Spring Trials (CAST), Hishtil Ltd will showcase its newest varieties alongside well-established classics, with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. " We remain committed to adopting alternative energy sources and eco-friendly materials to reduce our environmental footprint", the Israeli liner and young plant producer says. Once again, they will present their selections at Suncrest Nurseries from March 26–29, 2025.

At CAST 2025, Hishtil will present a wide variety of Organic herbs: Mentha, Rosmarinus, Thymus, Salvia etc., alongside its Grafted Vegetables, with the main focus of becoming greener than ever (Towards 100% Organic), free from chemical residues and using cutting-edge technology to improve food quality while preserving the environment.

During the show, Hishtil will also reveal the Double Marvel Series, featuring ornamental herbs that seamlessly combine functionality with aesthetic appeal. "These dual-use herbs are designed to activate senses and enhance the beauty and uniqueness of a home garden, with eye-catching blossoms and foliage such as Thymus spp. 'Ruby Glow', Salvia officinalis 'Snowflake' and many more", they say.

The Double Marvel collection redefines traditional herbs by bringing them beyond the kitchen and into the garden. "This selection features multi-purpose plants that offer both culinary and ornamental value, showcasing blossoms, vibrant foliage, and diverse growth habits—from bushy and columnar to trailing varieties. These exceptional herbs enhance any space, thriving in flower beds, borders, terraces, rocky landscapes, hanging baskets, and patio pots. Double Marvel varieties attract pollinators like butterflies and bees, supporting biodiversity and enriching the gardening experience."

During the show, Hishtil will also unveil its updated eco-friendly digital catalog for 2025.

Salvia officinalis 'Ovalvet'ᴾ - This is a sage variety prized for its sweet fragrance and round, velvety gray-green leaves. "'Ovalvet' has impressive tolerance to powdery mildew. This perennial, evergreen subshrub embodies nature's finest qualities, offering both beauty and functionality in the garden and kitchen."

Rosmarinus officinalis 'Gorizia' - "Hailing from northeastern Italy, this rosemary features a striking upright habit with long, robust stems crowned with large, light blue flowers. Thriving in full sun with minimal maintenance, 'Gorizia' elevates culinary dishes with its fragrant properties while attracting pollinators like bees, enhancing biodiversity in gardens."

Rosmarinus officinalis 'Capercaillie' - "Originating from Scotland, this distinct rosemary variety is notable for its half-prostrate growth and dark, vibrant green leaves. From 26-29 March, 2025, Hishtil welcomes growers to visit them at Suncrest Nurseries to discover these new varieties and returning favorites.
