To further capitalize on these successes, the minister called for stronger collaboration among stakeholders to address bottlenecks in the supply chain and create synergy. Nega Mekuanint, Chairman of the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association (EHPEA), described the trade fair as more than just an exhibition - calling it a strategic platform to promote investment and growth. He attributed the sector's recent success to government policy support, industry collaboration, and the dedication of horticulture businesses.
Nega also stressed the economic contributions of the horticulture sector, highlighting its role in employment generation and its growing importance in Ethiopia's export market. He urged the government to continue expanding access to the sector and strengthen efforts to attract both local and international investors.
The international fair has drawn investors, foreign diplomats, and industry stakeholders. Organized by the EHPEA, the event aims to showcase Ethiopia's horticultural potential and promote sustainable industry growth.
