Italy: Anticipation grows for 17th edition of Bricoday

Anticipation is growing for the 17th edition of Bricoday. Scheduled for September 24–25, 2025, the event will take place in Halls 22 and 24 of the FieraMilano Rho exhibition center, featuring 25,000 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to the latest advancements in a sector that engages and excites 90% of Italians and is valued at over 13 billion euros.

To support its continued growth, Bricoday, will be held at FieraMilano Rho. The organizers assure that it will remain "true to its traditional spirit."

The new location will enable "a more orderly, coherent, and profitable exhibition layout. The DIY/Technical, Home, and Garden sections will be reorganized to ensure consistency in product grouping. Additionally, the two special halls dedicated to lighting (Bricoday Luce) and digital innovation (Bricoday Digital Village) will also be aligned accordingly."

The visitor routes will be clearer and more intuitive than before, facilitating opportunities for meetings, business interactions, and matchmaking between exhibitors and visitors. Additionally, the exhibition will host meetings, conferences, and panel discussions with experts and analysts from leading market research companies to explore the most pressing topics in the DIY world. These discussions will address new challenges in the sector, including sustainability, product and service innovation, new technical and technological solutions proposed by leading companies, the effectiveness of various physical and digital sales channels, and an analysis of the demands of an increasingly large and segmented consumer category.

The Home section, encompassing every aspect and setting—from bathrooms to furnishings, flooring to household goods, textiles to decoration, maintenance to chemicals, small household appliances, climate control, and cleaning—will occupy ample space due to the significant and ongoing growth observed in recent years. This section will also host the fifth edition of Bricoday Luce, a highly successful thematic area dedicated to indoor and outdoor lighting, smart lighting, decorative lights, light bulbs, and more, which has been 'sold out' for some time.

The other major area at Bricoday will focus on the DIY/technical sector, featuring a substantial amount of exhibition space dedicated to wood products (such as parquet, shelves, and coatings), paints, building materials, and hardware (ranging from small parts to accident prevention, profiles to locks, and more). Additionally, there will be a wide array of tools (including manual and power tools, accessories, vacuum cleaners, and machines), electrical equipment, and car accessories (such as batteries, lubricants, additives, perfumes, and snow chains).

Bricoday will also introduce new spaces and increased visibility for proposals dedicated to gardens and terraces. The exhibits will range from furniture, equipment, and accessories for outdoor spaces to barbecues, irrigation systems, swimming pools, tools, machinery, pet care products, and solutions for maintaining greenery and landscapes.

The Bricoday Digital Village will provide a comprehensive overview of digital and innovative solutions for the retail sector, which is undergoing significant evolution, as evidenced by the 60% increase in participating companies in the last edition, totaling 40 exhibitors. With a rich program of meetings, conferences, and demonstrations, this section has become increasingly central to the retail strategies of manufacturers and buyers. It highlights the pervasive digital evolution of IT-based control, management, and sales systems, which support e-commerce platforms and marketplaces, the development of AI-based technologies, logistics, product coding, marketing, communication, customer service, and payment and fintech technologies, among others.
