Van Egmond Lisianthus is transitioning to RED Horticulture's dynamic LED lighting solution. With this decision, the company invests in precision-controlled cultivation technology to further optimize both quality and efficiency in production.

Transition to LED for optimal cultivation control
Two years ago, Van Egmond Lisianthus decided to shift from conventional HPS lighting to an advanced LED system. Aiming for greater flexibility, energy efficiency and improved control over cultivation, the company selected RED Horticulture's 4-channel LED technology. This technology enables precise adjustment of the light spectrum to match plants' needs, resulting in a more sustainable and optimized growing process.

José van Egmond, Cultivation Manager at Van Egmond Lisianthus, explains: "The switch to LED was a well-considered decision. We initially worked with a hybrid system, but it didn't provide the level of control we were looking for. With RED Horticulture's solution, we can individually adjust light colors such as blue and far-red, giving us maximum flexibility in the growing process."

RED Horticulture's lighting system has become an integral part of Van Egmond's overall cultivation strategy. The MyRED software is integrated with the climate control system, allowing real-time data to be utilized for continuous optimization of growing conditions.
