"Since 1980, our family has been cultivating garden roses, and I am proud to carry forward this legacy as the second-generation owner," stated Mr. Li, founder of Shanghai Shengbaili Rose Farm. Specializing in garden roses, potted roses, and edible rose varieties, the farm spans over 20 hectares and cultivates more than 1,000 rose varieties.

In collaboration with leading institutions such as Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Normal University, and the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Shengbaili Farm employs cutting-edge molecular breeding technologies. These include genome editing, gene gun-mediated genetic transformation, chemical mutagenesis (EMS), and precision-controlled light-temperature cultivation systems. To date, the farm has developed over 10 proprietary rose cultivars and secured 8 patents for its advancements.

The farm hosts a Garden Rose Festival annually to showcase its latest horticultural achievements. This year's event, commencing on April 29 in Shanghai, will welcome professional buyers, students, and the general public to explore new varieties and cultivation techniques.

Leveraging superior quality and genetic diversity, Shengbaili's products are exported to Brunei, Russia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, and other international markets. The farm seeks to expand its global footprint, offering potted roses in standardized container sizes (5-gallon, 12-gallon, 15-gallon) and crafting specialty bonsai-style roses for premium garden landscapes.
