After more than 17 years at Van Zanten Breeding, Kees Gram, Senior Area Export Manager, will leave the company at the end of December 2025. Although some may think he is retiring, that is not (yet) the case. "As of January 1, 2026, I will formally be without a job," Kees explains. "I am open to a new challenge, either in employment or as an independent consultant on a project or hourly basis."

During his 40-year career in the ornamental horticulture sector, Kees has built a broad network, with the last 17 years focused mainly on Colombia and Ecuador. He also represented Van Zanten Breeding at international markets and trade fairs around the world. "These have been wonderful years, during which I have worked with great pleasure and dedication to build strong customer relationships and expand our position in key markets."
Before he departs Van Zanten Breeding, Kees will still be present at several events: at Chrysanthemum Week in Colombia at the end of August (week 35), at Proflora in Bogotá in early October, and at IFTF in Vijfhuizen in November. These trade fairs will be his last representing Van Zanten Breeding.
The commercial responsibility for Colombia and Ecuador will now be taken over by Tjomme Gerbranda, together with the local team. "I am grateful for the pleasant collaboration with colleagues and customers, and I am curious to see which new paths will open up," says Kees.
